  1.         This file contains the latest information about the current
  2.         version of MegaBack

  4.         UPDATING AN OLDER VERSION:  To update to a newer version of
  5.         MegaBack, simply replace the old MB.EXE with the new one.  All
  6.         of the index files can be used by the new version, and it is NOT
  7.         necessary to do a new full backup.
  8.  
  9.         IMPORTANT:  MegaBack builds the necessary data files in the
  10.         directory where MB.EXE is located.  Ideally, MegaBack needs to
  11.         be in a special directory to itself, since MegaBack excludes
  12.         the directory that it is in from backup.  To install, create a
  13.         directory on your hard disk, and copy MB.EXE to that directory.
  14.         Then, start the program by enter MB and set up the system
  15.         options.  That's it!

  17.         NOTE:  MegaBack attempts to estimate the number of minutes
  18.         necessary for backup.  The first time you run MegaBack, the
  19.         estimation will probably be significantly off, reflecting more
  20.         minutes needed than will be actually used.  Subsequent backups
  21.         will be more accurate.  The base estimates were made on a
  22.         286/12, so adjust the estimates according to your machine type.
  23.         A 386/33 will process one meg of data per minute, give or take a
  24.         little depending on compression type.
